Dec 29th: Andre day

The phrase ‘just another day in paradise’ came to mind when I was thinking of what to write today. We haven’t been doing too much at all other than relaxing by the pool and enjoying the peace. Annabelle and I did Aqua Aerobics again but it was the last time for us. Today’s group was made up just of us two and a 10 yr old boy and a probably 9 yr old girl. We must have cut a funny sight! This motivated Annabelle to search online for an Aqua Aerobics session that we do on our own in our Villa pool.

Matt and Annabelle ventured out in the early afternoon to check out the local shops whilst Mark and I waited for Andre to arrive. Andre arrived at about 1.30 pm following his one hour walk up from Kuta along the beach and the three of us then spent the afternoon in and by our Villa pool.

Matt and Annabelle returned at around 4.30 and we all had a drink to toast in Annabelle’s birthday and the looming New Year whilst an afternoon storm passed by. The rain cleared just as we set out to walk down the beach towards Ocean Blue for a most cheap and cheerful dinner.

Dec 30th: Annabelle’s Birthday!

The day started as per usual with gym, swim, brekky and pool time. Annabelle and I went for a facial whilst the boys were lucky to head to the sports bar in time to catch the final moments of the Aussies winning the cricket.

We then headed to La Lucciola for a wonderful dinner that capped off a great day.
