The W Hotel, Brisbane March 25th
Today was our last day in Noosa and it just so happened to be my birthday so Mark joined me on a walk for our last morning. We had a coffee at Aromas before heading to the beach for a final swim and then to the pool to relax and dry off for an hour or so.
It was a relatively easy 90 minute drive to Brisbane and to The W Hotel for our one night of luxury before heading to Burleigh Heads. Our room, 1710, was a huge corner room and afforded great views out over the river.
We headed first to the pool deck for a bite for lunch before heading out to stroll the streets of Brisbane for an hour or so. It was then back to the hotel for some pool time before heading down to the Level One bar for a pre-dinner drink and then on to dinner. Our dinner venue, Greenglass, was a French restaurant and conveniently located just across the road from the hotel and this proved to be quite fortuitous given it was raining as we set out. Our meal at Greenglass was delicious and we would happily claim it trumps any of the big name Sydney-based French restaurants, such as Franca and Hubert and, IMHO, it is well worth a trip to the W just to visit Greenglass!
