Saturday April 2nd
It was a beautiful sunny morning for our last day in Burleigh Heads. Mark went for a last ride and I went for a walk before we caught up for our last Burleigh coffee. We had a dip in the pool before setting off towards Southwest rocks and stopped for lunch, again, at the cafe on the beach, Shelter, where we had a lovely lobster sandwich roll. We made it to the Rockpool Motor Inn at Southwest rocks by about 4 o’clock and we have the same room that we’ve had the last two times room 29. We did our usual thing, went for a walk around the headland and to the SLSC for Mark to have a beer. It was then back to the motor Inn and to their restaurant, The Rock, where we’ve gone twice before. Unfortunately the mail wasn’t up to its usual standard but we are assured that the chef is the same. Must’ve just been a bad night.
