Mark and I have a week in Noosa but Ali and Annabelle have joined us for the first three nights. We’re missing Tom as he is home studying for his final two exams. Luckily we arrive home on the final day of exams and so, fingers crossed, the house should remain safe during his study period!
We made it to the airport without any major arguments or misadventure which is quite an achievement, although Mark did come under some pressure from both girls regarding his patriarchal opinion on a relationship matter but that was rather minor. The four of us, and Mark’s bike, all checked in at the airport easily and we were lucky enough to be granted access to the Lounge. We had a beautiful morning for our flight and all went smoothly there and even the car rental collection went without any hiccups. The car was enormous but was needed to accommodate ‘the bike’. The girls got a bit of a taste of what I have to endure when navigating for Mark as he raced out of the car park whilst Annabelle was still leaning forward trying to sync my phone to the car system for sat nav! This got three of us laughing, but not Mark for some reason. We made the 25 minute trip from Maroochydore airport to Noosa Heads without incident though and easily found the apartment.

There are three generous bedrooms; each with King beds but one can be adjusted to two singles if needed. The Master is en-suite with a large WIR and there are two other bathrooms; one beside each of the other two bedrooms. The two other bedrooms are well separated and so it is really like having three en-suite bedrooms and would therefore suit three couples or a large family. There is a large lounge and a separate media room and a huge balcony running across the main lounge, kitchen and master bedroom that affords spectacular sunset views over the water. The girls are only here for three nights and so we cancelled one of our dinner-out bookings so that we could spend one night at home together to soak up the magnificent view.
After checking in and unpacking we headed down to the Noosa Surf Club for lunch. This a modern Club house that has a fantastic, tiered dining room overlooking the beach and is a must-do activity if ever in Noosa. From lunch we headed to the bike shop for Mark to gather information about the morning bike rides and the bike shop was conveniently located next door to a Woolies and Dan Murphy’s where we picked up supplies for the next few days. We then headed back to the apartment to rest a it before dinner.
The girls and I headed down for a walk along Hastings Street prior to dinner and this involved a 5 min walk down a path with 200 steps. The main concern was not the outward journey but the return, uphill, journey.  We couldn’t decide if Hastings Street is more like Rodeo Drive or Waikiki; perhaps a mix of both. It was a rather pleasant experience though and we all noted shops we wanted to return to over the next two days.
Our dinner was at an Italian restaurant called Locale and this is another must do activity. The setting is lovely and it has a very nice vibe with great food. Us girls had cocktails while Mark enjoyed a great local craft beer from Boiling Pot brewery which he is going to try and source. We all had small serves of pasta for dinner given we weren’t that hungry due to our late lunch but three of us managed to fit in dessert as well! It was a great night capping off a great first day and even the walk home went quickly.
