This morning started much the same as the last two except Tom came to the gym with us. Mark could only manage 4 courses at breakfast today which meant we got away a bit earlier.

Our first destination for the day was the Sultan Mosque and Arab Street. The most noteworthy points about the mosque are that it was designed by an Irishman and features rows of soy sauce bottles just below the main dome.
It was much quieter than yesterday and strolling the narrow streets was quite pleasant, even with the heat and humidity.

We remarked how this area had more of a ‘Bali’ feel to it and then we found ourselves at Bali Street!

We left Arab St and headed a few blocks down to Bugis Junction. These few blocks had us leaving ‘Bali’ and entering an ‘LA’ style landscape: wide multi lane boulevards, shopping malls, loud music and large neon signs. This area held little appeal for us and so we headed home via a quick stop off at Abercrombie & Fitch and Lucky Plaza.

Our flight was not until 7.50 pm and so, after getting back to the hotel by 1.30 pm, we headed back down to the pool for our last few Singapore hours.

The flight to Ho Chi Minh went smoothly and we were in our hotel by 10 pm. We were all rather tired so we retired for the evening after a quck visit to the lounge.
