Our ‘national lampoon vacation’ started out well. Mercer didn’t quite make it for the ride to the airport but I still gave him the quiche! Matt, ever reliable, delivered Annabelle just in time so she could finish packing. On arriving at the airport Mark and I found that we were upgraded so, unfortunately, we will not get to see Tom and Annabelle bonding on the two long legs to NY. Lucky Ali gets to sit between them to witness this. Things kept getting better….there was a very nice QANTAS man on the desk at the Business lounge and he let all five of us in. Tom ate everyones quota of food but Annabelle was not far behind! We have a long flight ahead of us and apparently JFK is closed due to snow and bad weather. We may get that ‘White Christmas’ after all. Annabelle has just realised that she won’t be able to drink in the US though…. sad face!
