Springbrook Day

Thursday 20th May 2021

It was another lovely sunrise and yet another morning when MarK went out on a bike ride and I went for a walk. We joined up after that and tried a different cafe this morning, Quest, on James Street. This one was much better for coffee.
The plan for the day was to head to Springbrook National Park and we set off at about 11 am. It’s about a one hour drive into the hinterland and we checked out a few of the different lookouts and did the 30 min loop to view the Natural Bridge.
We got home by about 2.30 pm or so and turned around fairly quickly to head back to Black Hops brewery, the place market been to the previous day. I tried their original beer, the eggnog stout, and it was delicious. This brewery has an interesting backstory with the three boys starting from scratch and they now actually have an information book to help other people start their own breweries.
We bought some of the eggnog stout to take home and then headed back to our apartment to get ready for dinner out, which was at the Lebanese restaurant, Rabbath, just a 5 min walk down the road.
