Cinque Terre: Monterosso al mare, Italy

Just a quick update for today as we are doing the Cinque Terre path walk.

Another hot and sunny morning greeted us when we woke this morning. We had breakfast on the terrace of the hotel and this looked out over the small harbour of the Monterosso Village.

Our day:

Train: 9.29 am from Monterosso al Mare to Vernazza.

Walk: Vernazza to Corniglia. Took us 1 hr. (scheduled 90 min).
Lots of steps but not too difficult.

Walk: Corniglia to Manarola. Very easy. Took us 30 min. (scheduled 60 min)

Walk: Manarola to Riomaggiore. Very easy.Took us 10 min (scheduled 20 min)

Lunch: Riomaggiore.

Ferry: 2.45pm Riomaggiore to Monterosso al Mare.

We were exhausted after our day of walking and spent the afternoon resting before heading down to the Village for a quick pizza dinner.
