Noosa: Sun 26th July – Friday 31st July
Accommodation: On The Beach, Noosa
We headed back to Noosa again, for a 5 night stay, but found it to be a bit cooler in July than our previous May-time visits. It was fortunate that we were able to secure the same apartment as last year, Number 15, as we consider this to be the best pick of the whole building.
We had a lazy couple of days before Colleen and David joined with us. Bistro C and Mr Jones and Me were dinner revisits that didn’t disappoint with their food however we noticed that prices have increased quite a bit and this jarred somewhat given their use of paper serviettes. IMHO, these meal prices warranted cloth napkins.
Our first night with Colleen and David was on the Tuesday and we dined at Noosa Surf club where we all had surprisingly good meals and we were also lucky enough to score a table with a great view.
Our first full day together on Wednesday was spent visiting Edmundi markets as Coll and David hadn’t experienced this joy. It was very busy when we arrived and all the car parks were full, which was a first for us, but we drove around and luckily ended up snagging a street park. We were all amazed at how vast the markets had become, how Magnesium seems to be a huge thing now and by just how much junk was on offer. Mark and I hadn’t been for a couple of years and the quality/ interest value of the offerings seemed to have declined somewhat. We’d had enough after an hour and then headed to the Edmundo Hotel for lunch. Our evening was spent separately with Mark and myself dining at Locale whilst Coll and David caught up with friends at Noosaville.
Thursday was spent catching up with Rowe friends, Paddy and Coll Callaghan, for lunch at the Sunshine Beach SLSC and then we went back to the Noosa Surf Club for our last Noosa dinner. We’d had a great few days in Noosa and were looking forward to the next part of this trip; our stay at Burleigh Heads.
