Noosa: first few days

Location: Noosa: Hastings Beach Houses: Villa One Five. There is a link on AirBnB as well.

Dates: Saturday 20th -Saturday 27th 2021.

Saturday 20th March:

We all arrived at our Noosa accommodation in the early afternoon and spent a bit of time settling in and exploring the lovely accommodation.

The girls and I headed out for a bit of shopping before meeting the boys at the Surf Club for a pre-dinner drink. Dinner was at Locale, a restaurant we’d been to before but this time was little disappointing.

Sunday 21st March:

It was a drizzly morning but the boys headed out for a bike ride and the girls and I attempted a walk. We didn’t get too far though and Brett kindly came to rescue us! We all gathered at Noosa Social cafe for a morning coffee before heading home to relax in the lead up to our main event for the day; a visit to Boiling Pot Brewery for lunch. This was great outing and we all commented how the pub offering style food was much better than our meal of the night before at Locale. This theme was to be repeated later in the evening when we dined at home on a delicious meal sourced and prepared by our head chef, Dr Matthew Vickers!

Monday 22nd March: Brett’s Birthday

It was a very wet day for Brett’s birthday so us girls were glad we had booked a Pilates Reformer session at Noosa Flow for the morning. This was great class run by Clare, the owner and I’d highly recommend a visit if that’s your thing and you’re ever in Noosa. We all then went for a birthday brunch to Cafe Le Monde which was nice.  The weather was still miserable though so that meant the only real activity available was shopping which just thrilled the boys. So it was a quiet afternoon back at the house before we headed out to the Surf Club for pre-dinner birthday drinks and then on to O-Ren for dinner. This was a great meal and I can now say, after a few visits to Noosa and a range of venues, this is my favourite Noosa restaurant!

Tuesday 23rd March:

It was still very overcast but the rain cleared enough to enable the boys to get a bike ride in and for us girls to walk out to Boiling Pot. I had my first dip in the pool now that it is heated. We had a lazy day planned with massages and spa sessions for some, a visit to Sunshine Beach surf club in the afternoon and then a BBQ seafood dinner at home by the pool. We are making the best of the crappy weather, that’s for sure.
